Artist Statement:
As a ceramic artist, I embarked on this journey that pushes the boundaries of my craft. Beyond my comfort zone, I enter uncharted territory, daring to create larger and more intricate works. Shapes of diverse nature intertwine, layer upon layer, I construct a final installation. This composition draws inspiration from the awe-inspiring feat of engineering known as the Spotswood Pumping Station serving the Werribee Treatment Plant, exuding unparalleled biodiversity, transforming waterways in a functional corner of Victoria into a tapestry of natural beauty. It stands as a testament to the intricate interplay between nature and human ingenuity.
